Next week will be the hard rubbish waste removal day in our suburb. Yesterday, my hubby had started to put away the rubbish we had kept on the shed like old washing machine, old computer monitor, lounge and some broken chairs. On the same day, I was out to work but when I came back home I was surprised some rubbish in our footpath were almost gone. Supposedly they should be picked up by council contractor but there are some local scavengers driving around and picking up some stuff that can be useful and benefit their household for them it’s like treasure hunting, good on them.
Most of the neighbourhood are doing the same thing, as I drive everyday I can see different sorts of rubbish sitting on the footpath like old mattresses, prams, plant stands, pots, televisions, children toys and any kind of appliances people are trying to throw away. So, at this stage every household in the suburb were all busy cleaning up the house and emptying the shed of all the rubbish they want to get rid.
I can say, it’s a good project of the city council to have hard rubbish removal of every household each year.
Cheers to the City Council of Adelaide,so proud of them.
