Voting Station

Last August 21, 2010 was the election day in Australia for Prime Minister, my hubby almost forgot to vote that day, when I got home from work I've reminded him if he vote already but he didn't yet. I told him I want to go to observe and to witness how the election is going. It's very different compare to our my own country, very quiet and peaceful, no rush, no crowds and no waiting for an hour or two, I like the way it was organized.  I even had the chance to get inside the voting room and watch my hubby and some people voting. It was really strange to me but it was good. And one thing if a citizen failed to vote on election they'll get I think a $200 fine unless you write or inform that you will be absent for voting.

My Curiosity

There is a shop down the road near our place there is a costume shops that I haven’t been entered since I was here to think I’m just very close. Maybe because I thought before it’s an adult shop but it’s a party costumes shop. One time I like to stop by and have a look inside because I always saw beautiful display in the shop window of different characters or impersonation costumes. But I was thinking I won’t buy any so I don’t need to get inside, but really one day even I’m not buying or not I’ll go there to satisfy my curiosity and maybe one day a friend will invite me to go for a party costume and I know where to get.

This afternoon when we have passed the shop again, I saw they have new display on the window. The Halloween costumes was very interesting and a nice attraction especially the kids costume it’s also for any age, I suddenly remember All Saints Day it’s not too far and soon its coming.

Giving Up My All to be with Him

The year 2006 was the big event of my life making a serious decision for my future. After two years of a long distance relationship with my hubby now it comes up to a real commitment and my decision to give up my work, leave my family, friends and other stuff to marry the man I love and settle here in Australia. The end month of February 2006 was the day I had resigned to my job and go back to my province to spend time with my family. Without no job after resigning, I was thinking and planning what alternative source of income I can do while staying in the province. I don’t think or like to apply for a job for a short time there because I’m still leaving soon. So what I did was make fun stuff business learning and making fancy fashion design jewelries. Before leaving in Manila I make sure I have all the complete materials and jewelry making tools to bring to the province. I’m glad I did it, I become creative and like experimenting styles and design look of the jewelries especially the bling bling style of earings that girls love it. That's my fun life in the province while also helping a little chicken shop business of my parents, I have wonderful time spending quality moments with friends and my family especially my parents before leaving my country.

Now almost turning 3 years of my stay in Australia and I'm becoming more independent, matured, adjusting the lifestyles and cultural differences and most of that very much stronger on the trials that I've encountered in my life here.

Weekend shopping

Today before going out, we first went on a supermarket to shop our household supplies that was almost running out. Sometimes I don’t like to go during weekend because it’s very busy and it has a long queue. I like going in the mid-week or an hour before closing because it’s a bit quite most of the time. I also like buying wholesale or bulk purchases on an item because I can save really rather than just a piece or two that if you add up sometimes it’s just the same price. I can be a wise buyer especially on making budget on our finances. That’s what my hubby was impressed on me, now he is learning of doing watching out the best buy product that comes out in the market. Many specials in the shop so we have spoiled ourselves buying some items that is not our list, our shopping trolley is almost full that the shopping bags we brought is not enough for all the foods and other stuff.

Gateway to Heaven

My apology to everyone for not around and I haven't visited your site for a few days, I'm a bit busy and not feeling very well. Don't worry I will try my best to return if possible all your comments. I hope you all understand.

My photo today was on a wide carpark of a new electronic shop which is a couple minutes from our house. There is an old rusty unused gate of an old building before when the property was not sold yet. A sculpted partner of a man and woman in the gate that I can't really describe what they are doing, the lady looks like dancer to me and the man is like playing bubbles hahhaha or playing an instrument but it looks like a difficult position he is doing, I'm not really sure. I'll just post a closer photo of the gate.

Bonus for 10 years long service

Last year my hubby got a reward gift from his work a 50” lcd tv on his 10 years long service in the company. I’m very happy when I heard the news from my hubby, it’s a great bonus for us my hubby said it has similar comments on projector reviews. At first I thought my hubby was only kidding me because I heard him many times that he likes to upgrade our 32” television  but I've told him not yet we still have some other expenses to be prioritized but surprisingly there is something coming to us for free, now the small one is on our bedroom. What a big saving on that year, now we are enjoying and having benefits of watching on a big screen it’s like we have a projector screen because our lounge is not huge and we are only a meter away when watching a movie. It’s like we are on a movie theater also because of the great effects and sounds came from the big speakers and amplifier he set up before then.

To those who are married, .. Not married .. and soon to be married, I hope you will be touched with this story...

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

A Very Good Friend of Ours

This afternoon hubby and I went out to make up for tomorrow as we can’t go out because I have personal appointment on something important that we can’t be together. Before leaving the house we heard the phone ringing I told my hubby not to answer because were almost going out and it will chew up his time if he answer and stay for a while on the phone, it was his friend(Rick) that he don’t catch up for a month or two. So we went out, while on the way he rings his friend who wants to catch up with us. So we pick him on his house which is just 10 minutes drive and tugged along with us for a drive and have dinner on Semaphore one of the beaches in Adelaide. We had a lovely dinner together talking updates in his and our lives.

We are on the way home when hubby remember that we are going to his mum house to assist FIL on how to operate the DVD player, he forgot to use because of old age and dementia problem but wanting to see a documentary movie. MIL and Rick met tonight for a quite long time again who haven’t seen with each other, he’s one of the very good friend of my hubby so they also catch up and talk about life as MIL likes to advice us always how to make a better life so as to Rick also. She advice Rick about his health as he was talking about his eye problem that he need eyeglasses so MIL talks about health plan in general like the Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina health insurance which is just on time because they have free rate quotation and you can apply online. Rick is still single and was looking forward for a better future and a family one day so he should better think of the steps and great plans especially in terms of health issue.

After all the chat and a coffee on MIL we head back home all together and now here I’m blogging while my hubby and Rick was in the backyard continue catching up with each other.

Miracle Romper

Browsing online is a very good past time, a good therapy if you’re bored and very entertaining lifestyles. I can always keep in touch with family, cousins and friends on facebook, also blogging that makes me busy and I gain more friends. Another tempting part of browsing is the shopping online many clothing, shoes and accessories for woman. There are many fashion designed product are coming out to give update to the shoppers. It’s an easy way to shop if you don’t want to go personally to department store; I always keep an eye on dereon I like browsing on their new clothing designs. As I was there looking all the photos of the product, I had a short read about the website, the founder was the pop singer Beyonce Knowles and her mom last 2006. No wonder why the store was very popular and the clothing product were just gorgeous and good quality. There is more discounted item online and very affordable price only. I like one of the white slippers and the clothes like miracle romp on the photo below.

I would love to wear a sexy looking bottom with top combination clothing like this. The orignal price is $79.00 and now $19.99, what a huge discount. Would you think I'll look sexy like her?lol

The Gift Card

It’s now almost 2 years and a half since my hubby and I get married last March 2008. It’s just a simple celebration with family and close friends I still remember we have received a few valuable gifts from our guest also hubby’s boss gives us a present of $1000 gift card from a local department store, how generous and kind he is, we are so thankful. Hubby and I don’t know what to spend but in a few days we had thought of spending for the household stuff.

First, we have bought some kitchen wares and a complete dinner set. The second time, we’ve got was a bright and lively set of quilt cover with matching electric blanket for the winter season. It’s been 2 winter season we’ve been using now and it was still doing great a job, still keeping us warm and comfort during our sleep, I usually turned on the heated blanket half an hour before we go to bed. Once I thought it’s broken because it’s not heating on my bed side but on my hubby side is working very well. He did check what the problem is, we find out the switch is faulty because maybe I’m fiddling with it always but now it was fixed by my hubby and working very well again. The rest of the remaining balance of the gift card we just bought some for ourselves like shoes and clothes.

Ask if you Don't Know

Last year December 2009, I accidentally click a security alert tool knowing it’s not a trouble on my computer. Usually I ask my hubby when some alerts  popped-up on my screen, but that morning I can't be bothered to call my hubby  because he was in the backyard so I do it myself. I didn’t think it’s a virus so knowing nothing will happen I click ok then unfortunately something is wrong with the screen I can’t move the cursor and the computer freeze. I've tried fixing myself even resetting the power still it’s not working, it was my mistake I risk my computer’s life by not confirming my hubby first. After that I'm running barefoot calling him outside and told what had happened. He tries to fix it by his expertise on trouble shooting but it doesn’t help. It needs re-installing windows and reformatting the program but my notebook don’t have internal dvd player so he suggest  that we need to take it to the store where I’ve bought before and have it service, of course with service charge because this kind of problem is not on warranty service. It cost me $90.00 to re-install and reformat the program, if only my hubby has external dvd hard drive we can fix it at home or only if I have a laptop insurance that would not be a hassle and don’t cost anything.

Sometimes, it’s really very wise of thinking something worth keeping especially if we bought something valuable for our self or personal use. I was planning to upgrade my notebook into a 15” laptop because sometimes I can’t appreciate the photos I’ve posted on my blog as the screen is small, sometimes I transfer to the desktop of my hubby just to open the photos if they look beautiful and clear. I’m now thinking to get a laptop insurance that only cost $9.95 per year its very inexpensive offer of the company. They have wide range offer worldwide there some choices which policy will you sign up. Another thing they also offer additional items such as phone, digital camera, ipod, mp3 and other gaming system very interesting.

Ayala Mall Garden and Landscape, Cebu City

This photo was taken from the 3rd level of Ayala Mall Cebu City, Philippines viewing the huge area of the mall garden and lanscapes.  I was really amaze with the beauty of the garden by looking down as we are walking outside the mall walkway. What a great feeling to see the landscape design of the plants and waterfalls, lovely to just sit on the bench under the tree, feel the cool breeze during late afternoon or just have a coffee and have a good chat with a friend or partner

The Human Sculpture of the Natives of Baguio City

This photo was still in Baguio City, Philippines Botanic Garden a sculptured images of the native people living in Baguio city long long time ago. They used to wear these traditional customes for the man and woman, if people go to baguio the first thing om their mind is "oh! we can see the Igorot" the natives of Baguio. Now its just a history talk only I don't know if there is still natives remain wearing and living there.

These people were called Igorot.

U2 Concert

At work, one of the owner's daughter likes listening music on our radio but not much as I love I think, she is always the one who turned on the radio every morning. One day I came to work with a quite background, I told my manager why the radio is off,  he said there is some problem on FM station that it doesn’t play. My workmate try to fiddles some of other station that tunes up on AM station luckily it plays well. The music were beautiful, its the type that I really love to listen like an old classy songs that everyone would love too. If it’s on Philippines radio station I can compare that on Mellow Touch station. Many kinds of songs they've played from ballads, alternative rocks, love songs, acoustic and etc. The Air Supply, Celine Dion, America, Bread, Coldplay, Queen, there are many to enumerate and the U2 albums are always playing.  I like to hear Bono I admire his voice, I love their songs titled In the Name of Love they sing it during the inauguration of Pres. Obama in the White House  were some celebrities have their entertainment too,With or Without You, Elevation and all their albums were amazing. They’ve been singing for many decades and still very solid group they have a good team work I'm sure. They have more updates and up coming concerts anywhere in the world. I would love to watch their concert I’ve read on newspaper they have many International tours I hope they can visit here in our place to have concert. I will really convince my hubby to watch and get a U2 tickets online straight away knowing many people are planning to watch if they make concert here, I bet it will be sold out soon.

That day when I arrived home I told my hubby to set up the AM station for me because I love to hear those kinds of music at home. Now on our alarm clock with radio in the bedroom was always on AM station, if hubby want to listen other station like the new age songs he can listen it on the lounge.

Hot Summer Nights

Summer is still a few months approaching, here in South Australia was so hot during summer sometimes the temperature reaches 40-45 degree maximum. Most of us love summer but only if it's as medium temperature of hotness. Everyone loves to swim on the beach, driving always on the road or camping and always out for a night life partying especially the teenagers. The moment people can't sleep comfortaby because of hotness that sometimes aircon or fans can't cope up the heat within the house. Also where people decide to go to the shop and get new air conditioning or even on the lighting show place are packed with customers buying ceiling fans of different styles just like on Minka Aire there are many choices of fans designs and sizes.

Even us last summer we had bought a new ceiling fan because our old one in the bedroom starts to become noisy sounds like a helicopter flying which is hard for us to sleep, now feels comfortable feeling the cool breeze and we have a quite good night sleep.

To fix or get a new one

When I was on my learner's permit I've bought a second hand car to practice after my driving lesson on driving instructor and it’s a year now that I’m using I've just even got my renewed cheap car insurance last week. But recently, I was thinking to get a new one because my old car needs serious repair and maintenance soon as I hear some noises even it's running well, the tire needs to be changed too but if I sum up all the expenses it's just as the cost when I’ve bought it. I told my hubby, I can now drive very well and confident now maybe I can get a brand new that I can pay for installment only sothat I don’t need to worry of future incidents like what’s happening on my old car now. I will just decide if I need to fix it to drive for a few years or get a brand new or another second hand that has low kilometers. I'm not financially prepared yet to buy on cash.

Also a couple of weeks ago when I had my keys locked inside the car I had an emergency membership to one of the reliable and quick road service company to get it unlock. It’s really advantage to be a member my mistake I didn’t think of doing it before. Sometimes we don’t expect uncertainty events happening while driving on the road so it’s better to get a membership as soon as you had a car. Now I feel safe and comfortable not worrying any fees incase my car will breakdown or needs to be towed, it’s all free now.

Sea Water Swimming Pool ( Plantation Bay Hotel, Cebu City)

This photos was taken during our day tour last June 3, 2010 at Plantation Bay Hotel, Cebu City, a huge hotel with many cottages surrounded by sea water swimming pool, a very quite place to spend a holiday especially a honeymoon for newly weds, the beach front is also walking distance but takes a while though, there is also a service cart that will bring you there if you don't feel like walking.

Souvenier Shops

I took the photo of the flower which I don't know the name as always when we visit  and browse on a souvenir shops on Mines View at Baguio City, Phils.  If anyone here can name that flower for me please that would be great.
The photo took by my hubby when I'm choosing different kinds of engraved key chains souveniers for my friends when we went back here in Adelaide.

A Garland everlasting flower for sale, I remember those days before during graduation on elementary or high school many years ago instead of giving gift some buy a garland and awaits you to go down from the stage and put a garland on your neck as a congratulation or compliments for your achievements in school.

He was Hurt

Last Thursday as I'm about to go to work I saw a magpie in the driveway near the letter box looks dirty and muddy all over his feathers, but it doesn't show in the photo lol, maybe he heard my footsteps even I'm not very close to him that he start walking on the neighbors footpath garden and continue walking under the tree as if he don't know where to go or his looking for a nice place to rest but soon I saw him having steps and wanting to cross the road.  I guess he has a big play or fight with his fellow birds that he hardly can't fly and very weak. That really what happen I think as I can sometimes found a dead body of a bird on the driveway or under the tree on the backyard.
