The first 3 rounds I'm on his back riding but I can't last until an hour he drives recklessly and likes to play the movement of the water hahha he isenjoying and I'm scare the way he drive, I told him I'll stay on the jetskie hut and you can drive alone.

Annual Fiesta

Yesterday was our annual town fiesta; it’s our tradition to celebrate in honor of our church patron Saint. Lot’s of fun and activities were prepared by the council before the early week. I can compare that this fiesta is not as enjoyable as for the past many years. At home all of us especially mom  are busy in preparing for the different menu of dishes, we had many guest at home and we also rent video karaoke that makes the most of the fun and happiness.

Last year fiesta is not very good for our family an incident happened that makes everyone feels so worried and unsafe. Many people got drunk once a person drink to much they are uncontrollable on their action and way of speaking, jealousy is no good to one another, unexpectedly in the midnight someone shoot the house of my grandparents which they think all the members of the family were gathering inside, lucky no one get hurts by those people who had an evil intention or shorten the life of our family the next morning it become rumors and a big news on the whole town and also to some places. That’s why they must think inquiring a term life insurance quotes knowing this situation just happens for no reason, it’s only better to prepare for our life’s future.

Last night it seems everything is alright not much people around we enjoyed most of the day time fun and don't go out during late night thinking of our safetiness. Sometimes situation like that only happen on late night so we just avoid what happpened last year. We had our fun especially my hubby who had his first time to experience the Philippines traditional fiesta celebration.

Before I really don’t pay attention about what’s really needed in going for a holiday. The first thing I know is to have airplane ticket, in overseas travel it has an inclusion of travel insurance with additional charge but it’s not compulsory it's up to you  if you avail or look for other companies quotation, I don’t think it’s very important because it's not that cheap to get, but hearing all of my friends advise about the benefits you can avail if you get it alarms me to have it, so I start to inquire of some companies that offer a lowest amount. Thanks for some of the insurance advertising who publish anywhere, it can be on television, banners but most you can see it online, it really helps us save a little bit of all the expenses we are still going to spend for the rest of the trip. By availing travel insurance we are secure and safe anywhere we travel now as we know if anything happens to our belongings it's being shoulder by the insurance company. It's worth the money we have paid.

Last night when we have our long walk along the side beach wandering around and amusing the uniqueness set up of resorts and hotel owners they made in beach front as a dine-in place for all tourist. It’s very interesting design furniture was made and the arrangement of tables, benches and some the creativity presentations to attract customers some put bamboo chairs, some design like Chinese settings of table and chairs, and other use lounges that is very comfortable to dine-in feeling the fresh air in beach front.

Today my parents and siblings will arrive here this is our treat for them and a reunion for all of us. We will go Island hopping tomorrow and ride on banana boat. It’s very nice recreation for a group and family. My hubby really enjoyed the holiday here, he don’t go out much as what he did before in Australia but knowing that he loves the beach he was very fascinated with the Island set up and water sports, before my family will arrive in the afternoon we wil hire a jetskie, sounds fun to me.

Secure Online Backup

In our holiday of course the most important part is meeting my family, friends and enjoying the time for ourselves. Also taking photos for good memories of my love ones and the place we visit is always very fun to do.

I had brought my laptop with us sothat I can download all the photos and empty the memory card for another use, the day before we left I had downloaded  an online backup for the security of all my files just incase I lost any data of unexpected breakdown in the system or maybe lost of luggage that I hope it won't happen to us. I had also a USB back up but the good thing about online backup is you don’t need to worry about finding your storage media incase you lost or misplace your USB. Anywhere in the world if your travelling you can use it if you backing up all your files online.

Enjoying life is wonderful

 It’s been 4 days now of our holiday since we've arrived here in Phils., now we are in Boracay Island enjoying the white sand beach resort. There are many visitors from different countries a crowded place, lots of restaurant and live bands along the beach side, more luxurious hotel to chose, souvenirs to shop.

It’s our 2nd day here and we really had fun swimming, drinking, more walking on the long Island beach. Today we both had an hour body massage, it's very comfy and relaxing lying in the bench in the beach front. When we finish we had a little walk to find different place to have a lunch after that we go to shopping place just within the Island. You can shop everything from swim wear to souvenirs and all other stuff you are looking for. There is much items that are intriguing and wanting people to buy especially when I saw the cute lingerie that I come across. We still have 3 days left so on the last day we going to have our last shopping of souvenirs for our friends and relatives.

Historical Island of Corregidor

After a week of being so busy preparing for our holiday finally we arrived in the Philippines last May 22 and for a few days since we arrived I don't get a chance to update my blog, been very tired of the long hours trip and organizing somethings but then so happy to be backed here in my homeland.

The first of our itinerary was to visit Corregidor Island an hour and 15 minutes ride on a ferry boat. It’s one of the historical island during World War II were there are building barracks of American and Filipino soldiers. In the end, the building was all destroyed by the Japanese troops thousands of soldiers got killed because they want  to colonize Philippines but with the help of American soldiers unfortunately they don’t succeed on their plans. Gen. Douglas Mc Arthur was the one who lead the invasion together with his soldiers.

It's my second time to visit here, the first one was last 2004. We are joining a tour group this time of around 60 people from different countries and as well as our own. Very fun and interesting despite of the very hot weather, first time to be soaking wet and dribbling sweat lol, because of the hotness and humidity of a tropical country.

Adelaide boat ramp view

This photo was taken a few weeks ago when we have our fun moments feeding with the seagulls.  After that, we drive somewhere, the Adelaide boat ramp is one that get interest us  which is just 10 minutes distance to where we've been before. We park for not so long and wander where all the boats unloaded from the car trailer when they people start to board going for boating or fishing. This view is a walking and pushbike trail also from the car park an overlooking to the main beach of Glenelg where you can see all the tall hotel and restaurant buildings.

Emergency Back-up

Our holiday is very soon, I’m so excited to meet my family and friends that I haven't seen for a quite long time. Planning of our holiday is not easy especially if your travelling a long distance, lots of unexpected expenses arises, from present, booking of hotel to stay, resorts and travel insurance.  I already prepare a budget but sometimes it exceed to what your expected. Well, if I over the budget I have a credit card to pull out, it’s good the interest is very low so if it happen that I need more stuff to buy I can use them with not much hassle.

Philippines few more sleep and I’m coming home.

He miss going to Gym

As a couple, even we don’t have kids yet we had busy days working especially my hubby who work long hours like 6 days a week, before he often go to the gym twice a week doing his exercise on weight lifting, treadmills to burn his calories and stored fat in his body, he need to lose more weight lol. These days due to the loads of work in his company it’s been couple of month since he didn’t go to gym. I told him we can have a short walk around the block every other night but he said I’ll just miss it. Maybe soon he can go back to gym or after our holiday.

One day it's better way also to have your own equipment at home, the best one is treadmill I think. I saw one on my friends house when we attend birthday party. I try and I like it, it's tiring on the first time if your not use of it but good for the health.

Online Courses Available Now

When I arrive here in Adelaide there are many things I need to adjust, after a few months of coping up the environment, the people and the lifestyles all went well to me. I’m an Accoutancy graduate and work in my country in an office as Accounting Assistant. I was applying a job here and was told by my friend that the qualification we"ve studied on our school is not qualify in here, it’s not good on my side. Every time I submit my application it’s disappointing some companies are looking for local experience, how’s that? I’m from overseas how can I acquire this experience if they will not test my capability and hire me. Lucky now to work as a casual employee on a retail company as a customer service, but still I am thinking to study to get a permanent full-time job. I prefer to get a medical course if I can schedule my time on working while studying, it’s easy to get a job on that course, I can choose whether I want to enroll online to be an enrolled nurse, age care or medical assistant. Good thing in this country there is medical assisting school to finance you incase you can’t afford. You only pay after when you already get a job.

Samsung HDTV is worth Buying

My hubby and I went to a night shopping yesterday to look for a laptop for my sister and family to give as present when we go for our holiday. Instead on the computer aisle first, we came across to the electronic section were hubby start looking for the newest range of television, a couple of the new model of Samsung HDTV catch my hubbies eye and so do I, few things we like about Samsung is the sleek design, the way it changes the channel on the remote control that he is fiddling, it’s very clear, the picture quality is quite good and it's blur-ray ready.

Browsing in the shop is not enough for him when we got home he look up online about the features and comments on the product of the customer experiences, very great and good value as well, hmmm I can smell another electronic or upgrade samsung tv to buy on our to do list.

 

Tagaytay Island in Philippines

Visiting Tagaytay Island in Philippines last 2005 with my hubby. More than an hour travel from Manila. It's a great adventure going there, for how many years staying in Manila I still never visit in this place, whenever my friends are planning to go unfortunately I'm not available. When my hubby visits, it's one of my plans to bring him there. It's a popular tourist spot in the Philippines and the second summer capital city next to Baguio city. I don't know where the place really when we go there, I just keep asking to driver which bus to ride and what jeep that travel in this Island, first I'm a bit worried maybe will get lost, but as long as you have mouth to ask and have money ready incase you get lost, besides I'm with my husband everything is alright he can easily kick the bad guys lol, sometimes people can trick you sometimes if you don't know the place, they tell you but it's not the right one, lucky we made it and even just few hours being there we enjoy our time and still we wander around. No chance for recreational activities for we arrive afternoon. There are horse riding, boating to one of the lake you can see in the background, you can climb mountain and other interesting and fun stuff to do.

It's very windy and almost getting dark when we leave the Island going back to Manila, still I ask where the route of jeep that can drop us to catch a bus to Manila, lucky a good samaritan is helpful enough to guide us, so we’re safe to arrive in Manila.

Want to be an Energy Auditor?

It’s been a year since we observe our utility bill increase especially on the summer days. We sometimes don’t often use our appliances at home, our concern most is the lightings we chew up a lot of energy during night time. My husband has some knowledge and expertise in lightings at home, he did more research online to have better idea and application how to assess and save energy. By assessing what's the effecient use of A/C and all the lightings, we soon replace most of our light gloves, now we had installed a bright energy saver bulbs that has a low kilo watt usage, I can call him as our mainstay energy auditor now, he did well on this matter.

After all the replacement the quarterly electricity bill arrives the meter usage fluctuates and our bill is lesser than what we are expected. You can really see the difference if you use a energy saver lights.

Bird of Paradise

Last Anzac day I visit my close friend, I notice her front neighbor had a blooming flower. I tell her about my blogging hobby and most is about posting photos including flowers. I ask her to accompany me to her neighbor to take photo of the flower, she said yes but we will ask permission first for a respect on their private property, I was hesitate as for me it’s disturbing knocking just to waste their time to entertain us. But my friend was the one who makes the move and knocks, the radio is on but when she knock how many times no one is answering, I’m already in front of the garden so just not to stay long I took the photo even the owner is not around, we try our best to give respect but well maybe no one is home. That’s the only two shots I‘ve got and return to friends house.

Crows and Power

These photos were taken when I meet my two Filipina friends in the city, if you recall the entry of guitar photo I’ve post last week it’s the same day. One of the friends wants to look for a watch repair shop inside the mall, instead of going with them I decide to wait outside as I feel like taking photo of anything interesting. I saw a booth full of crowds in the middle I’m curious what’s going on so I walk closer, step by step I move inside, I excuse to some people to give me way to fit myself in front, what an effort I did.. lol. They’re throwing lots of donuts to the mascots head, there are few professional photographers taking photos of the event, very interesting I start taking photos too. It’s a promotion of the bread company, football players and celebrities promote their products. After my few shots I move out to find my friend thinking they’re looking at me as well, in one glance I found them, I told some football players were there, one friend was hurriedly pulling us to go there again to have a look coz that’s her son favorite team so she wanted to have a photo of her own to show him. We had fun really, after the event was finished they give away more boxes of donuts we also join in the crowd and have grabbed some donuts design of the Crows and Power logo of football team.

Parliament House View

My passport was going to expire last January 2009 and needs to be renewed. I find out that Adelaide has no Philippine consulate to process the renewal that’s why my hubby and I need to fly to Canberra  for a personal appearance to sign the documents in Philippine embassy. Its unfortunate they haven’t put up a consulate office yet, I was 2 days absent at work just to process and update my passport incase I’m travelling overseas. The good thing on this trip was seeing some views of Canberra especially this Parliament House. The bad thing is we forget the camera on hotel so we don't really take much photos. We only use the mobile of my hubby.
